Seamless

Your sense of self was seamless
for when I looked upon your face
pensive and unfaltering
in your eyes I saw
a refraction

An idea
pulled down on
itself in your gaze
stretched to limits made
arbitrary

There was a strand of your hair floating
in a passing breeze - I noted the difference
for the refraction was gone and you turned
back to me and smiled.
